Listen Before Leading
We begin by understanding what a person is carrying, what they want to change, and what support actually fits their season.
Trust is part of the work
Healing and growth require more than beautiful words. Rooted & Rising is committed to clear expectations, honest program boundaries, respectful support, transparent next steps, and public claims that can be verified.

Leadership
Founder • Veteran • Mother • Life Coach • Author
Shonya “Nyallah” Williams founded Rooted & Rising as a faith-centered community built around healing, education, practical support, meaningful connection, service, and purposeful living. Her leadership is grounded in service and lived experience, with an emphasis on helping people move forward without pretending their difficult seasons did not happen.

These principles shape the experience across coaching, programs, circles, workshops, and community support.
We begin by understanding what a person is carrying, what they want to change, and what support actually fits their season.
Faith, identity, relationships, practical needs, strengths, and lived experience are treated as connected parts of the journey.
Programs and coaching focus on reflection, practical tools, choices, goals, accountability, and useful next steps.
Rooted & Rising does not present coaching or peer support as therapy, diagnosis, medical care, legal advice, or emergency response.
Before your first session
The goal is not to arrive perfect. The goal is to begin with honesty, dignity, and a next step you can actually use.
Safety & scope
Coaching, workshops, and peer programs are educational and supportive. They are not substitutes for licensed clinical, medical, legal, or emergency services.
Participants are treated with dignity and are not pressured to disclose personal experiences beyond what they choose to share.
Accommodation requests related to mobility, communication, sensory needs, technology, transportation, caregiving, and other access needs are welcomed.
When a need falls outside program scope, the appropriate next step is connection to qualified community or professional resources.
Community in view
Rooted & Rising centers connection, learning, service, family support, veteran support, and practical pathways for growth.
