By accessing or using this website, creating an account, registering for a program or event, making a purchase or donation, or participating in a Rooted & Rising service, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. Do not use the services if you do not agree.
2. Our Purpose
Rooted & Rising provides educational resources, community programs, workshops, events, mentorship, coaching, wellness support, youth development opportunities, products, and connections to community resources. Services may be offered online or in person.
3. Educational, Coaching, and Wellness Disclaimer
Rooted & Rising content and services are for general educational, motivational, community-support, and personal-development purposes. They are not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, therapy, crisis intervention, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or other licensed professional services.
Participation does not create a therapist-client, physician-patient, attorney-client, or other licensed professional relationship. Always consult an appropriately qualified professional regarding personal circumstances.
If you or another person may be in immediate danger or experiencing an emergency, contact 911 or an appropriate emergency or crisis service.
4. Community Standards
Participants must communicate respectfully and may not harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, impersonate, stalk, intimidate, or intentionally harm another person. Hate speech, abusive conduct, sexual misconduct, illegal activity, weapons, and behavior that disrupts safety are prohibited.
We may refuse entry, suspend participation, remove content, end access, or contact appropriate authorities when reasonably necessary to protect participants, staff, volunteers, or the community.
5. Privacy in Group Programs
Participants in healing circles, workshops, coaching groups, or community conversations are expected to respect the privacy of others. However, Rooted & Rising cannot guarantee that another participant will keep information confidential. Share only what you are comfortable sharing.
Facilitators may need to act or disclose information when required by law or when there is a reasonable concern involving abuse, neglect, imminent danger, or serious safety risks.
6. Accounts and Eligibility
You are responsible for providing accurate information, safeguarding login credentials, and notifying us of unauthorized account activity. A parent or legal guardian must authorize participation, purchases, or account use by a minor when required.
7. Event and Program Registration
Registration may be limited by capacity, age, eligibility, location, safety considerations, or program requirements. Event details may change because of weather, venue issues, facilitator availability, public-health concerns, low enrollment, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control.
Specific registration pages, agreements, waivers, photo releases, or consent forms may include additional terms that also apply.
8. Purchases, Payments, and Donations
Prices and availability may change without notice. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the applicable payment provider to process the stated charges.
Donations are voluntary and generally nonrefundable except where required by law or when a transaction was made in error and promptly reported. A contribution is tax-deductible only to the extent permitted by law and based on the organization’s applicable tax status at the time of the gift.
9. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund, exchange, rescheduling, and cancellation rules may vary by product, event, coaching service, course, membership, or program. The policy shown at checkout or registration controls for that transaction.
Unless a different policy is posted, digital products are nonrefundable after access or download, physical products may be returned only in unused condition within the stated return period, and program fees may be transferred or refunded only when approved in writing.
10. Intellectual Property
The website, Rooted & Rising name and branding, program materials, workbooks, graphics, videos, audio, written content, logos, designs, and downloadable resources are owned by or licensed to Rooted & Rising and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use purchased or freely provided materials for personal, noncommercial use unless written permission states otherwise. You may not reproduce, resell, distribute, publish, teach from, modify, or create commercial derivative works from protected materials without written authorization.
11. User Content and Media
You retain ownership of original content you submit. By posting public comments, testimonials, reviews, or other content, you grant Rooted & Rising a nonexclusive license to display and use that content in connection with the service, subject to applicable permissions and privacy laws.
Photos, video, or audio captured at events will be used only in accordance with posted notices, registration terms, or a separate consent or media release when required.
12. Acceptable Website Use
You may not attempt to access restricted systems, introduce malware, scrape data without permission, interfere with website operation, bypass security, misuse another person’s information, conduct fraudulent transactions, or use the services for unlawful purposes.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may use or link to third-party services such as payment processors, calendar tools, video platforms, podcast platforms, social media, or outside community resources. Rooted & Rising does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, content, security, or policies.
14. No Guarantee of Results
Personal growth, wellness, education, coaching, business, relationship, and community outcomes vary. Rooted & Rising does not promise a particular result, transformation, financial outcome, health outcome, or level of participation.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rooted & Rising and its founders, staff, volunteers, contractors, partners, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or participation in services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the services, violation of these terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or harmful conduct.

These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in an appropriate court unless another process is required by law or agreed in writing.
