Our Mission
To create faith-centered spaces where individuals and families can heal, learn, connect, serve, and rise into the purpose already within them.
Founder • Veteran • Community AdvocateKnown in Rooted & Rising as Nyallah Bey
Shonya Williams is a veteran, mother, community advocate, and founder of Rooted & Rising. Her leadership is grounded in faith, compassion, lived experience, practical support, and the belief that people should not be forced to heal alone.
She created Rooted & Rising to provide welcoming spaces where women, men, children, youth, veterans, and families can be seen, heard, supported, and encouraged to rise into the purpose already within them.
Rooted & Rising is a faith-centered healing and empowerment community helping people reconnect with their strength, deepen healthy relationships, access practical support, and move forward with confidence and purpose.
Women • Men • Youth • Veterans • FamiliesRooted & Rising grew from a simple conviction: people heal more fully when they have safe spaces, practical tools, honest conversations, and a community that refuses to let them walk alone.
Our work connects personal healing with education, mentorship, community service, and reliable resources. We meet people where they are without shame, pressure, or judgment and help them take meaningful steps toward wholeness, confidence, and purpose.
What is shared in our healing spaces is treated with care. Participants are encouraged to speak from their own experience, respect one another, and protect the dignity and privacy of the group.
To create faith-centered spaces where individuals and families can heal, learn, connect, serve, and rise into the purpose already within them.
Stronger communities where people are supported before crisis, connected to trustworthy resources, and empowered to live with confidence, wholeness, and purpose.
Every pathway supports healing, learning, healthy connection, service, and purpose while honoring the needs of each community.
